Hotel Monte Mulini sits inside the Golden Cape forest park, on Lone Bay, a short walk from Rovinj's old town. The hotel is adults-exclusive, five-star, part of the Maistra Collection, and holds 112 rooms and suites across five room categories and four suite types, each with a balcony facing the sea. The main building opened in 2009; the suites occupy a separate garden wing. Dining runs across four venues: Riva Lounge and its private room, Riva Privée, on the lowest terrace by the pool; Wine Vault, a Michelin-recommended cellar restaurant built around a large, mostly Croatian wine list; Restaurant Mediterraneo, for breakfast and set-menu dinners with bay views; and Amatis, an intimate table for two under Lone Bay's evening light. Art Wellness, the hotel's 700-square-metre spa, adds a salt-water floating room, four outdoor pools and treatments built on Biologique Recherche products.

The Riva Lounge occupies Monte Mulini's lowest terrace, sea-facing, where the yacht house's 1950s design language — mahogany, polished steel, chrome, aquamarine — meets an Istrian kitchen: truffle pljukanci, shared fish, a sunset that reaches the water.
